42 Chinese students have visited the Netherlands for one month from 20 November onwards, in order to get acquainted with all the aspects of the Dutch horticultural sector. The whole program was prepared and organized by Lentiz Cursus and Consult from Maasland. The mornings were spent visiting theme lectures at the new World Horti Center in Naaldwijk. Continuing in the afternoon with discussions and visits to entrepreneurs and companies in the chain, often linked to an active assignment.
HollandDoor was responsible for taking care of the subjects ''creating added value in the chain'' (how do you do this and what are the conditions) as well as ''fertilization and substrate cultivation''. Moreover, besides the lectures, among others the Intratuin in Monster was been given a visit in the afternoon. Here all the surplus value on both product- as well as service level was being identified. Finally the Chinese students gave a presentation with recommendations for the entrepreneur. A great way to put theoretical knowledge into practice.
