As the son of a greenhouse vegetable grower, I gained a wealth of working experience in the greenhouse sector at an early age. During my studies at Wageningen University, I specialised in plant growth, agricultural business economics and marketing.
I started my professional career as a consultant, advising many growers and propagators on hydroponic growing systems. I subsequently worked for 20 years at a plant and soil laboratory in the Netherlands, where I was responsible for fertilisation advice combined with analytical results for the horticultural sector. In addition to these advisory services, I conducted several scientific research projects into growing media and plant nutrition aimed at developing expertise in fertilisation. As an expert in plant growth, water and plant nutrition, I have gained experience worldwide. I am passionate about innovation and have translated that passion into multiple projects.
As a member of the team at HollandDoor, I enjoy sharing my knowledge and supporting and training growers worldwide, with the aim and ambition of helping to build sustainable food production systems.
