Every year, the Wageningen Centre for Development Innovation, part of Wageningen University and Research (CDI-WUR), organizes the course “Market Access for Food and Nutrition Security”. The course targets mid-career professionals from developing countries. HollandDoor is involved in the course.
As in previous years, many participants from different countries participated in this edition of the course. For this reason, the course was held twice, in November 2019 and January 2020. The November edition attracted 24 participants from 17 countries. The January edition received 21 participants from 19 countries.
For every course round, HollandDoor implemented a half-day tailor-made training on: “Value chain management trends in global agriculture with a focus on horticulture”. This lecture was illustrated with a day excursion to FloraHolland Flower Auction, high-tech Kalanchoe potted plant production company Vilosa and World Horti Centre.
