The study week in March 2024 as part of Nuffic's Orange Knowledge Program, TMT+, was comprehensive and insightful, according to feedback received from eight master trainers at The Agricultural Vocational Education Development Center (BBPPMPV Pertanian Cianjur) and Institute Pertanian Bogor (IPB). The study week covered a diverse range of topics that have been part of both online and offline training in recent months. This approach aims to gain a comprehensive understanding of various topics related to revitalizing vocational education in Indonesia.

Here's a summary of the key points covered during this week:

  1. Sustainable aquaculture and vocational learning: During visits to institutions such as Wageningen University, Zone College, and the World Horti Center, practical insights were gained into vocational education in general, as well as its integration with research and business. Innovative approaches to education and sustainability were showcased to visitors at Zone college, such as recirculating aqua systems and waste-to-product initiatives.

  5. Innovations in sustainable practices: Discussions held at New Generation Nutrition (NGN) showcased innovative approaches to sustainability, such as producing fishmeal from waste, which is in line with ongoing developments in Indonesia.
  6. Practical education and collaboration: The study week concluded with a visit to Has Green Academy, where participants had the opportunity to meet with students and discuss the significance of practical education and collaboration with the business community. These are essential topics which prepare students for real-world challenges.

Overall, the study week provided a comprehensive overview of various aspects of vocational education and its integration with industry and sustainability trends.
